The Nintendo 3DS to be used as a Wii U Controller, Miyamoto says.

Nintendo 3DS as a wii U controller?

Nintendo is already considering the possiblity that the Wii U could use multiple “screen controllers” (the new iPad-like controllers shown) instead of only one, as well as the Wiimotes.

But what if players could also use their Nintendo 3DS to control the games? Wouldn’t that be simply amazing, having a 3D version of a game right in your hands while you play the “main” game on the TV screen? The possibilities are endless, and this would also boost the 3DS sales as well as add even more value to it.

Well, according to Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo is really considering implementing this feature:

“Our basic premise is that you can use one [Wii U controller] with a system. If we got to an idea of having multiple [controllers] it might be just more convenient for people to use their Nintendo 3DS and have a way to connect that.

That being said, we are doing research about if someone brings their controller to their friend’s house and they want to play together on Wii U to whether or not something like that would be possible”.

What do you think? Would you buy a Nintendo 3DS just for this?
