Zelda: OoT 3DS and Kid Icarus Will Launch After E3 2011

Zelda Ocarina of Time 3DS

Confirmed: two of the most anticipated titles for the new Nintendo 3DS (Zelda Ocarina of Time 3DS and Kid Icarus) will launch after E3.

Speaking to MTV Multiplayer, Nintendo exec Reggie Fils-Aime said: “Mario, Zelda, all of those titles are coming. From our perspective, we like to launch titles when they’re ready. And so they’ll be ready, they’ll be ready soon. Just not in that initial time period of late March to early June.” He went on to say that those games will launch “after E3”.

Very dissapointing indeed since everybody is so eager to play the bestĀ game of all time again in 3D, as well as theĀ promising Kid Icarus. But wait, there is something very interesting in Reggie’s statement!

The “we like to launch titles when they’re ready” reminds us a lot of what Blizzard always says, which could mean new amazing extra dungeons for Zelda 3DS and maybe even more items and challenges. Seems that Nintendo wants to do it right.

What do you think? Will you be able to wait until E3 or will you just freeze yourself in your loved cryochamber?
